(Bp., 1891. jún. 4.–Rio de Janeiro, 1980. jún. 9.) geológus, tanár.<br /> <br /> =Élete=<br /> <br /> Egyetemi tanulmányait Zürichben végezte, ahol 1914-ben doktori diplomát kapott. A budapesti tudományegyetem földtani tanszékén tanársegéd, majd 1919-ben a tektonika magántanára. 1932–1948-as években a Földtani Intézet igazgatója. Külföldi szakértői tevékenységet 1920 és 1961 között mintegy 17 országban végzett. Életének utolsó két évtizedében hasadóanyag-kutatással foglalkozott. Több mint 90 közleménye jelent meg. 1931 nyarán kezdte meg Balatonfüred határában a Lapos-telek és a Vörösföldek nevű dűlők részletes felmérését.
